The US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued four willful and two serious violations and proposed $247,309 in penalties to a New Jersey-based roofing contractor for exposing workers to potentially deadly falls, the DOL announced Friday.
Guelsin Lima, operating as Extreme Roofing and Siding LLC, allegedly failed to provide fall protection and head or eye protection for workers who were installing roof shingles in Mahwah, Upper Saddle River, and River Vale, N.J., the agency said.
