PARIS, France – Swiss multinational company Holcim has signed an agreement to acquire Malarkey Roofing Products.
Malarkey Roofing Products was founded by Herbert Malarkey in 1956. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, the company has production facilities in Oklahoma, Oregon and California.
Malarkey identifies as a leading firm in the residential roofing market with projected 2022 net sales in the range of $600 million. The company has a track record of double-digit growth in the highly profitable $19 billion U.S. residential roofing market.
According to a release, the transaction is valued at $1.35 billion, to be financed with 100% cash. The acquisition is anticipated to be earnings per share accretive the first year.
